Special Edition Red Wine - Bocage
Bocage Tinto is a very popular Portuguese wine, especially in the Setúbal region, where it is produced. It is known for its approachable and easy-drinking style, making it ideal for everyday drinking or with a variety of meals. It is typically made with traditional regional grape varieties, such as Castelão, Aragonez, and Syrah, which provide a fruity and pleasant aromatic profile.
This red wine features aromas of ripe red fruits, such as cherry and plum, along with light spicy notes. On the palate, Bocage Tinto is balanced, with smooth tannins and moderate acidity, providing a harmonious and pleasant experience.
Bocage Tinto pairs well with grilled meats, pasta dishes, semi-cured cheeses, and traditional Portuguese dishes. It's an excellent choice for those looking for an affordable, high-quality red wine with the typical Setúbal Peninsula style.
This wine pays homage to the Setúbal poet and verse writer Manuel Maria Barbosa du Bocage. With his irreverent and bohemian style, Boacage became a reference not only in Setúbal but also in Portugal. Based on Syrah, Castelão, Aragonez, and Alicante Bouschet grape varieties, aged in oak, this wine is dense and complex, with strong, smooth, and mature flavors. Ideal with meat dishes and cheeses. Best served at 16-18°C. Store for a recommended 7 years.
