GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE

This text serves to present the conditions of sale and operation of the online store Mercearia de Portugal, represented by the company Corrente de Saudade Unipessoal Lda. with NIF 513864610 and headquartered at Rua Fernando Santos no. 74, 2nd front 2900-365 in Setúbal.

Mercearia de Portugal sells a selection of Portuguese products on the national and international market, via the Internet.

PAYMENT METHODS

Payment for orders can be made via bank transfer, credit card (via PayPal ), directly from your PayPal account, or via an ATM reference generated at the time of ordering. Payments made via PayPal or ATM reference provide immediate confirmation. Payments made via bank transfer require confirmation of successful payment, which can only be confirmed 2 to 3 days after the order is placed.

However, we accept bank transfer receipts as proof of payment, which speeds up the shipping process.

It is up to Mercearia de Portugal to accept or reject the receipt as proof of payment and the right to wait the necessary time to confirm the successful payment.

ORDERS

Anyone 18 years of age or older may register with Mercearia de Portugal and order all available products. All products will be shipped subject to stock availability. Product descriptions in the Mercearia de Portugal online store are based on those provided by manufacturers or suppliers. We inform our customers that the images displayed on our website may be for illustrative purposes only. We guarantee that the products sold comply with the law. All brands, models, and product names are registered trademarks of their respective owners and their subsidiaries. You may cancel your order up until the shipping date by emailing info@merceariadeportugal.com.
If a product is out of stock, we will attempt to contact the customer and request instructions on how to proceed. If we are unable to contact the person responsible for the order within 24 hours of placing the order, the product will be replaced with an equivalent product of equal or greater value.

SHIPPING

Shipments are made within 24 to 48 hours of ordering. All products are properly packaged and stored to ensure their safety and quality upon arrival. The address provided by the customer must ensure that someone is always available during business hours to receive the goods. Failure to receive the order may incur additional costs with the shipping company. When providing the address, please ensure that it is correct and that all information is provided. Missing information may result in delivery delays or the order being returned.

TRANSPORTATION PRICES

Shipping prices are calculated based on the order's weight and destination. At the end of the ordering process, the final shipping cost will be added to the order cost. You can check prices for each destination in the Shipping tab. on our homepage. These prices may change over time.

DELIVERY TIMES

Delivery times listed on mercadodeportugal.com are expressed in business days and are indicative only and provided by the shipping companies. Delays or losses are the responsibility of the shipping companies.

EXCHANGES AND REPLACEMENTS

In the event of a stock shortage, Mercearia de Portugal is authorized to exchange or replace products valued up to €10.00 with a similar product from another brand. If the customer does not authorize this replacement, they must inform us in advance.

RETURNS

If you are not completely satisfied with the products received, you may return them within a maximum period of 15 days, as set out in Article 6 of Decree-Law No. 143/2001 and Decree-Law No. 82/2008. We will refund the full value of the product, provided that it is in the same condition as when sent.

IMPEDIMENTS AND/OR RESTRICTIONS

Due to factors external to Mercearia de Portugal, some product orders may be subject to customs fees and taxes upon entry into the destination country. Import duties and taxes are always the responsibility of the importing buyer. If there are any additional customs charges, import duties, or applicable taxes, these will be the buyer's responsibility upon delivery of the order. Costs cannot be predicted, as they are the responsibility of each country's customs authorities. The buyer is also responsible for understanding the restrictions and respective fees of the country in which they reside.
Prices

Products available at Mercearia de Portugal include VAT at the current legal rate, excluding shipping costs. Buyers from non-EU countries and holders of a corporate tax identification number within the European Union may be exempt from VAT. Mercearia de Portugal reserves the right to periodically change product prices or shipping costs.

PRIVACY POLICY

All data provided by the customer will be kept in a secure database, which we undertake not to share with third parties or use for any purpose other than order processing and shipping. If you wish, you may change, update, or delete your registration data at any time, as provided for by personal data protection law.
