Sharish Gin
50cl
Sharish Gin takes its name from the village of Monsaraz (sharish means xara, jara, or rockrose). "Mont Sharish would mean a mountain built in a thicket of rockroses, later giving rise to Monsaraz," explains António Cuco. Sharish Gin is based on a local recipe of traditionally Portuguese ingredients, such as juniper and coriander seeds, including orange, lemon, and fresh lemon verbena. The gin's signature and charisma are achieved through the unique presence of the Esmolfe bravo apple, a PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) product since 1994. The origin? Esmolfe, in Penalva do Castelo, Beira Alta. Silver Medal - International Wine & Spirit Competition 2016
