"Ginginha" is a traditional Portuguese liqueur available in Lisbon and other locations such as Óbidos and Alcobaça. Made from alcohol obtained by macerating the ginja fruit, a fruit very similar to cherries in both appearance and taste, it uses only natural products, without any artificial preservatives. This liqueur is a blend of sweet and bitter with a hint of cinnamon. Its sweetness makes it very easy to drink. Typically served in small glasses, called shots, it should be drunk in one go. You can enjoy it with or without the ginja in the glass.
