Insignia Fine Ruby Port Wine

Traditional Port winemaking method. After partial stripping of the grapes and light crushing, fermentation with skin maceration follows. Fermentation occurs at controlled temperature and is interrupted by the addition of brandy (aguardente). The entire winemaking process is monitored by the winemaking team, taking into account the type of grape, its degree of ripeness, and the desired sweetness. A blend of selected red wines, ruby in color, matured in oak barrels for an average of 3 to 4 years.
