Description. Medronho brandy is a traditional fruit brandy made from the fruit of the strawberry tree, typical of the Algarve mountains in Portugal. Strawberry trees grow wild in poor soils in rural regions, such as the Alentejo and the inland Algarve. They produce a delicate, fruity, and smooth brandy.
