Description: Casa Ferreirinha Castas Escondidas Tinto 2018 is the latest release from the iconic Douro wine brand. A special wine, featuring varieties hidden by time, but with enormous potential to showcase the region's true terroir.
Castas Escondidas is part of the brand's commitment to launching "specialties," wines capable of showcasing the different potentialities of their terroirs and the exuberance of the variety of grape varieties grown in the demarcated Douro region.

Tasting Note: Ruby color. Intense and complex aroma, with prominent spicy notes of truffles, sous-bois, pepper, and some cinnamon, along with light balsamic notes, resin, fresh red fruits, subtle stony notes, and discreet, well-integrated wood. The palate is very smooth, with good volume, well-rounded and polished tannins, and notes of fresh fruit and spices, with a very balanced and persistent finish.

Grape varieties: Touriga-Female, Tinta Francisca, Bastardo, Marufo, Tinta Amarela, Tinto Cão, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa and Old Vine.
