The history of Favaios is lost in time. Its name comes from "Flávius," an ancient Roman settlement that belonged to the land of Panoías. And its development accompanied the dynasties. Since 1952, in this town, in the Douro Demarcated Region, the Adega Cooperativa de Favaios has become one of the largest and most recognized in the country, particularly for the unmistakable quality of its Aperitivo and Moscatel de Favaios. The town's development owes much to wine, which has played a significant role in the local economy and architecture. Aware of the increasing market demands and existing internal needs, common in structures dating back to 1952, Adega de Favaios decided to invest in modernizing and revitalizing its infrastructure, currently boasting over 550 members.
