About the Author:
Nuno Markl was born in Lisbon in 1971. At school, he tried to tell funny stories to avoid being beaten up. He still does this today, but it doesn't stop him from getting beaten up occasionally. He's a comedian, author of radio segments like "The Man Who Bit the Dog" and "Trading Card Album" on Rádio Comercial. He co-wrote "Herman Encyclopedia," "Paradise Films," "Maria's Program," and "The Contemporaries." He acted in the film "Beauty and the Paparazzo" and has lent his voice to animated characters, dubbing Disney and Dreamworks films such as "Inside Out" and "Bee Story." He created the series "1986" on RTP1. He lives in Parede with two dogs, Flor and Uva, who – it is suspected – whisper many of the ideas contained in "Rejected Children's Book Pages" to him. He has personally met Jerry Seinfeld, Terry Jones, Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Tony Ramos. He didn't get any of their contact information, though. Nor did they get his.
