With a history dating back to 1865, Macieira has accompanied generations of consumers and connoisseurs, from kings and poets to connoisseurs and pure brandy lovers, both within and beyond Brazil's borders. It is distilled with wine made from local grapes and aged in oak barrels to produce an easy-drinking brandy. Internationally recognized, Macieira has won numerous awards since its presence at the Paris World Exhibition in 1889. Its elegant and discerning character has allowed the brand to keep up with the times and adapt to the current market, always celebrating its origins and expertise. Produced from the finest Portuguese grapes, Macieira has a unique aroma and flavor, following the same production process for over 100 years. Macieira, with an alcohol content of 36%, is obtained from grape brandy aged for a minimum of six months in oak casks. Its subtle aroma comes from the original recipe, kept secret since its creation, and the distillation of grapes from the Arinto, Periquita, Trincadeira and Fernão Pires varieties.
